About Fontwix
Fontwix is a free website that turns plain text into fancy styles you can copy and paste: bold, cursive, bubble, gothic, small caps and many more. It also explains how letters are written in cursive and shows every letter and number in dozens of decorative forms.
We built it because most font sites we tried were slow, cluttered and hard to use on a phone. Fontwix is meant to be the opposite: open the page, type, tap copy, done.
Who Runs Fontwix
Fontwix is run by a small independent team of web developers and writers. We build fast, lightweight tools that do one job well and work on any device, even on a slow connection.
The site launched in 2026. We are not part of a larger media company, and we are not connected to any of the apps where people paste our text, such as Instagram, TikTok or Discord.
What the Site Does
- Fancy text generator: type a word or a name and see it in more than 100 styles at once.
- Cursive letters A–Z: step-by-step guides for writing each capital and lowercase letter in cursive, with printable practice sheets.
- Letters in different fonts: one page per letter with dozens of styled versions and related symbols.
- Number fonts: the digits 0 to 9 in around 40 styles for bios, game names and dates.
Everything is free to use and you never need an account.
How the Unicode Styles Work
Fontwix doesn't send you font files. Instead, it uses Unicode, the international standard that gives every character a number so that all phones and computers can share text. Unicode happens to contain whole alphabets that look bold, italic, script, double-struck or circled, mostly added for mathematics and technical writing.
When you type, our tool replaces each letter with its matching styled character. Because the result is ordinary text, you can paste it into most apps without installing anything. The conversion happens entirely in your browser; your text is never sent to our servers.
Some apps or older devices don't include every character in their fonts. In that case a symbol may appear as an empty box. We explain these limits on each page so you know what to expect.
Our Editorial Standards
We care about accuracy as much as looks. Before a style goes live, we test it on iPhone, Android, Windows and Mac to see where it displays correctly and where it may break.
Our cursive guides follow the traditional US school cursive model, and each stroke description is checked against the letterforms shown on the page. Facts about letters, numbers and Unicode are based on well-established sources, and when we are not sure about something, we leave it out.
If you spot a mistake, please tell us. We correct errors as quickly as we can.
How Fontwix Is Funded
Fontwix is free because it is supported by advertising. Some pages show ads served by Google AdSense, which helps us pay for hosting and development. Ads are clearly separated from the tools and never change how the text converter works.
You can read how ads and cookies work on this site in our privacy policy.
